Pledge-taking Ceremony

Auxilium Girls’ Higher Secondary School Shillong, held the investiture ceremony on 16 February in the school premises. The chief guest on this occasion was Sr.Elizabeth Thannimothil, Secretary of School who  arrived the venue accompanied by Sr. Joplin Suchiang, Principal amidst loud cheer and joy.
 
 

The ceremony began with Miss Hiroshi Momin, welcoming the gathering, followed by a short prayer led by Miss Candida and Miss Meboreen. After this, the School Captain, Vice captain, House captains and class leaders took oath to uphold the ethos and motto of the school to be loyal, honest, truthful and to fulfill responsibilities to the best of their abilities.

The newly elected school leaders were then honored   with badges and sashes by chief guest, principal, school sisters and four senior teachers.

Adding colour and celebration to the occasion was the March Pass by the marching contingent from the four houses. This was then followed by a message from the chief guest who exhorted the newly elected leaders to be committed and dutiful and to play their rule well. 

Sr. Joplin Suchiang, in her   speech reminded the school leaders that with position comes responsibility towards themselves and towards their school and peers    and encouraged them to play their part well under the guidance of the sisters and teachers in all the school activities and to be role models.

She also thanked all those responsible for the success of the programme.
