All the Catholic teaching and non-teaching staff of Auxilium Girls’ Higher Secondary School Shillong under the guidance and leadership of our dear Principal Sr. AlbridaPyngrope attended a one-day renewal sessions at Holy Redeemer Renewal Centre (HRRC) Umroi on the 31 October 2016.
The day commenced with a brief spiritual warm up by Rev. Fr. Jude. He quoted from the book of Psalms and the Holy Gospel and reminded us all of God’s greatness and man’s nothingness. The second session was taken by Fr. Regi in which he exhorted that we should all resemble Jesus the perfect teacher and master. Quoting and citing biblical passages and examples of Jesus as the lamb, he reiterated that we should also totally give ourselves and be one with Christ the perfect lamb. With due preparation, we all like wayward son returned to God’s mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation administered by the priests of the Centre. Cleansed and immersed in God’s mercy, we proceeded to the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Binoy the Rector of the Centre. In his homily, he gave us the five simple ways to remain in the state of grace, namely: Live the sacramental life, Affinity with the Word of God, Practice mortification, Live in infused grace and to have a spiritual director. Apart from the spiritual exercise the teachers also had a group discussion on the action plan 2017. Spiritually elated, they all returned home renewed and rejuvenated, looking forward for more experiences.
