The Jesus Youth Movement in Auxilium School started in the year 2015, wherein we had a small gathering of all the class XII students. During this gather the Jesus Youth leaders of Shillong;Rapbor the coordinator and few other members came and gave a short orientation of what Jesus Youth is all about. After this orientation we started prayer meeting only for the Class XII first and afterwards invited the Class XI also. We used to have the prayer meeting every week on Tuesday. Miss Meboreen use to come and help us with playing the guitar. Many of the Jesus Youth leader use to come and help us during the prayer meeting. All this help our students to growth in prayer and confidence. We selected a small team of five members with Anjelin being the coordinator. They all started to take up responsibility. We used to have meeting every Thursday so that we could plan for the upcoming prayer meeting. During the prayer meeting we used to have lots of activities and sharing by the students themselves.
One of the initiatives that was taken up by the Jesus Youth was to pray for all the teachers before the Teacher day celebration. The entire student community gathers in the hall and we spend some time to thank God for the gift of our teachers and we pray for them in a very special way. It was a great time spending time together as one family every Tuesday where in we dance, sing and most important pray. We always remember to pray for our school, our Sisters, our teachers and those who help us in the school. We also pray for all the student and their families. It’s just the beginning we tried our best this year hopefully we will continue and do many more things especially to become closer to God through our prayer.
