Sports and games have been part of human society for thousands of years. This make us mentally alert and physically strong.
The Annual Sports meet of Auxilium Girls’ Higher Secondary School was held from the 26th till the 28th of February’ 2020. The Theme of the Annual Sports Meet was “Peace and Harmony”.
The Opening Ceremony was held on the 26th of February 2020, in the school playground and it was inaugurated by our renowned Chief Guest, Sr Delphine Fernandez, the Principal of Holy Child Higher Secondary School. The Lord has blessed us enormously with a fine weather throughout the three days of the annual sports. Thus, different outdoor games were conducted and held in the Parish ground. The School Annual Sports 2020, was indeed a successful and a fruitful one where the students took part in it wholeheartedly and with great enthusiasm.
The school held a grand Closing Ceremony of its Annual Sports on the on the 28th February, 2020. It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers. The day commenced with the felicitation of the venerable Chief Guest, Shri Alfred Kurbah, Instructor of Physical Training, East Khasi Hills District and the quintessential Guest of Honour, Fr. Glorious Syiemlieh. The four school Houses were each given different items to perform for the day. The Chief Guest concluded the day by announcing the winners of the main events. The Yellow House won the trophy for the Best March Past, the best Discipline House was bagged by the Red House, the Blue House received the maximum points and took away the Best House trophy and the Green House bagged the 1st runners up trophy.
